SoLa Therapy for the treatment of chronic pelvic pain.

Get relief from chronic pelvic pain in as little as two weeks.

Sola therapy is a revolutionary new laser treatment that uses light energy for treating chronic pelvic pain in women. It works by stimulating the mitochondria within the cells to help promote healing. This process is called photo biomodulation or PBM. It is different than other treatment methods for pelvic pain as it promotes the natural healing process versus simply masking the pain.

How does SoLa Therapy work?

SoLa therapy works in three different ways.

  1. Relaxes muscles: Chronic pelvic pain causes muscle contraction which increases discomfort. The gentle SoLa laser soothes and relaxes muscles.
  2. Promotes healing: Stimulates oxygen delivery to the affected area, helping to drain toxins and increase blood flow.
  3. Cellular photo biomodulation: Increases the production of cellular modulators necessary for healing and pain relief.

What conditions does SoLa therapy treat?

There are many factors or conditions that can cause pelvic pain. SoLa Therapy is approved for treating the following:

  • Dyspareunia – pain with intercourse
  • Endometriosis
  • Levator myalgia
  • Bladder pain syndrome
  • Interstitial cystitis
  • Vulvodynia

There may be other conditions that could benefit from this treatment. It is important that you consult with your physician to determine if this is the right treatment for you.

How is SoLa therapy performed?

SoLa is similar to a pelvic exam. A thin wand is inserted internally and placed into the pelvic muscles. There may be a warming sensation but there should not be any pain. The time for treatment is just a few minutes and appointments are approximately a total of 15 minutes in length.

Benefits of SoLa include:

  • Convenient in-office procedure
  • Pain free or mild discomfort
  • Doesn’t require anesthesia
  • No side effects
  • Takes less than five minutes

How many treatments are needed?

Each patient is evaluated to determine how many treatments will achieve the maximum results. Patients should expect 3 treatments, 3 times per week scheduled over a 3 week period for a total of 9 treatments.

How soon can I expect results?

Some patients feel immediate relief during the treatments and many patients will find relief after the first 3-4 times.

What are the risks?

As a non-invasive treatment, risks associated with SoLa therapy are minimal with little discomfort and no side effects.
